Redesigned for 2019 and updated in 2023, the second-generation Volvo V60 blends clean Scandinavian design with premium materials, advanced safety tech, and impressive versatility. Offered in standard, Cross Country, and high-performance plug-in hybrid forms, it remains one of the few compact luxury wagons still standing. The Recharge T8 Polestar Engineered sits at the top of the range, combining all-wheel drive and plug-in efficiency with over 455 horsepower, Brembo brakes, and Ćhlins suspension for a truly unique blend of pace, poise, and practicality.
Power comes from a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and an 18.8-kWh lithium-ion battery. The system is rated at a combined 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque. Output from the combustion engine is sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the electric motor powers the rear wheels.
